Robert Fabbio, former founder of

Bob Fabbio is a well known technology leader in Austin, Texas. As a founder
of three high-tech start-ups and board member of nine, he offers
portfolio companies operational and executive management depth.
Mr. Fabbio founded DAZEL Corporation, which pioneered client-server
output management software and has been recognized by Software Magazine,
Upside, and Red Herring as a top private company. Under Mr. Fabbio's
leadership, DAZEL Corporation's annual revenues grew from $800,000
to $10 million in two years. Dazel was acquired by Hewlett Packard
Corporation (NYSE: HWP) for more than $150 million. Mr. Fabbio was
also a pioneer in the formation of the multi-billion dollar distributed
systems management market. In 1989, he founded Tivoli Systems, the
industry leader in distributed systems management. The company was
sold to IBM for over $700 million.
Mr. Fabbio has held senior technical and executive management positions
with IBM, Prime Computer, Applix and Kodak. He received a B.A. degree
in Chemistry and Computer Science from SUNY at Potsdam and a Masters
Degree in Computer Science and Technology from the Rochester Institution
of Technology.
Dr. Marvin Langston, Former Deputy CIO
for Office of Secretary of Defense
Combining over 34 years of public service experience with the Department
of Defense and one year of experience in the private sector, Dr.
Langston brings a full range of experience and skill to his consulting
clients. His practice focuses on strategic planning, strategic marketing,
information system architecture, and systems engineering within
the DoD and Federal Government community. His undergraduate and
graduate degrees in electronic engineering, coupled with his doctorate
in public administration, provide him the technical and management
skills necessary to address today's dynamic e-change environment
Dr. Langston served as the Chief Operating Officer of Salus Media,
Inc. from January 2000 through January 2001. He applied his extensive
experience base managing complex electronic and information systems
in the Department of Defense and Johns Hopkins University Applied
Physics Laboratory to help Salus create a web-enabled employee self-improvement
application.
Prior to joining Salus, he served as Deputy Chief Information Officer
(CIO) for the Department of Defense and prior to that as the first
CIO for the Department of Navy. In these positions, he spearheaded
the radical reform necessary to enhance both warfare and business
processes within the Department and earned the Government Computer
Week magazine Executive of the Year award for 1999. During this
period, the Department was transformed from an organization that
placed little priority on information systems to an organization
where the most senior leaders embrace information technology as
the underpinning of national security effectiveness.
Dr. Langston's technical background began with the maintenance
of submarine nuclear power, communication, radar, and data systems,
followed by design and development of shipboard missile, display,
computer, and communication systems. His management experience spans
both large and small projects and includes: leading edge research
and development projects at the Defense Advanced Research Projects
Agency; management of software & system development for sensor
and communications spacecraft, communication and computer networks;
architecture development of very large defense system networks;
and organizational strategic planning.
Major General Richard Phillips, USMC (Ret), Former USMC C4I
Mr. Phillips has extensive experience in management of communications, C4I, space, automation, military readiness, and equipment acquisition programs and systems. His expertise in these fields encompasses strategic planning, technological development, financial operations, marketing, and government liaison. Prior to joining Wheat International, Mr. Phillips completed over 35 years of active Naval service in 1995, retiring as a Major General in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Phillips' experience and prior positions have included:
- Inspector General, United States Marine Corps. Personally oversaw and coordinated all readiness and intelligence oversight for 174,000 person organization.
- Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Expeditionary Force Programs), Pentagon. Responsibilities included developing and managing technological concepts and acquiring the necessary funding for all Marine Corps and many Navy C4I acquisition programs. His marketing and acquisition expertise was routinely applied to a wide range of communications programs, which set new standards for accomplishment and excellence.
- Deputy Commanding General, Marine Forces Pacific. Marine Forces Pacific consisted of 70,000 personnel and all air and ground equipment across the Pacific Rim, and he was concurrently Commander of the Joint Task Force, Pacific.
- Commanding General 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Kaneohe, Hawaii. As Commanding General, Mr. Phillips was personally responsible for the 10,000 air and ground personnel of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
- Assistant Chief of Staff for C4I, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, DC. Responsible for communications and C4I for the entire 195,000-person organization. He directed, developed, and acquired funding for digital communications, tactical automated systems, and space satellite communications programs. His personal initiatives achieved a record of 95 percent project completion on time and within allotted budgets.
Mr. Phillips earned a BS in Engineering from California Polytechnic University, and an MS in Computer Science from the US Naval Postgraduate School. He is a graduate of the US Air Force Officer Computer School and the US Army War College.
